HLA Hospital La Salud

Incredible staff! While on vacation I had to see a Physician so I made an appointment. Dr Fariñas saw me at his OP office at the hospital. Let me say that I'm a retired physician myself which no one at the hospital knew. Dr Fariñas is great. He listened, he explained his findings and ordered diagnostic tests. Then I meet Maria Gomez at the front desk. I wish she had worked for me when I was practicing! She's very, very nice and took care of getting my insurance to cover the x rays when they told ME I wasn't covered. She took me to radiology and got things going as a priority and smiled all through the process. She's also very pretty. Radiology was as fast and professional as i hoped. I was in and out in half the time I expected. Maria then set me up for a follow up appointment with the doctor. I can truly recommend Hospital HLA La Salud ti anyone traveling or living in Cadiz, Spain

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I went to this hospital because I had an infection. The doctor gave me the wrong treatment instructions and was going to prescribe the wrong medicine if I hadn’t corrected him. But there is something even more inappropriate and more serious I have to denounce: upon observing the infection, I had to take off my sweater. The doctor joked and asked me ‘Where did you sleep?’ and asked me to put my jacket back on, as if the infection could’ve spread from it. Which is false and alarming if he actually believes it. The ‘where did you sleep’ joke would be inappropriate in any medical setting, especially from a doctor. But it was his very distasteful tone that was grossly inappropriate. Moreover, he asked where I was from, and joked that it didn’t seem like I was from that country. How puerile and sad.

I fell and needed treatment while on a vacation. Excellent and caring treatment by the staff. They ensured my husband was kept informed and took pains to explain what was happening even though I didn't speak Spanish. Their care was much appreciated.

The internacional department treated us so kindly. I really recomend this place if you have Any problems while travelling !
